Among the distinguished guests was Auburn Council Member Enver Yasar, whose presence was warmly acknowledged by ALMA President Br. Jabeer Carder during his welcome address. Br. Jabeer thanked the councillor for joining the community in celebrating the blessed occasion and extended a warm welcome to all members and guests.

In his speech, Br. Jabeer congratulated those who had completed Hajj this year and made du’a that Allah (SWT) accepts their pilgrimage. He also encouraged those who have not yet fulfilled this important pillar of Islam to make the sincere intention and strive towards performing Hajj when able.

Reflecting on ALMA’s achievements over the past two years, Br. Jabeer expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the Executive Committee, the ACEP Committee, ACEP teachers, and the many volunteers whose dedication and hard work have enabled the association to successfully deliver numerous community initiatives and events.

Guests were treated to a sumptuous buffet featuring a wide selection of authentic Sri Lankan cuisine, followed by an impressive assortment of delicious desserts, which received much praise from those in attendance.
